Advanced Decisions is a consulting firm that specializes in software engineering and embedded systems development. Our consultants work on long-term contracts with leading hi-tech companies throughout New England. One of our current clients in the semiconductor industry is looking for a consultant who can hit the ground running. For this position, you do not need prior experience as a consultant, but you must be able to manage your own projects and get things done. In this role, you will be finding & negotiating technical solutions, translating high-level requirements into software solutions and potentially leading sub-projects as well as doing the coding and documentation. You will be working with a multidisciplinary and multinational team. In our interview process, you must be able to demonstrate your experience with requirements definition, software design and system testing. You must have prior experience with C/C++ programming and scripting languages. You will be working on a Unix/Solaris platform (with ClearCase), you must have prior experience on that platform as well. If you have had experience on real-time operating systems such as VxWorks, pSos, or Vertex that will be highly valued. Additionally, you must be able to show that you can write drivers and interact with complex hardware. This position may require some international travel.
